    Fostering clinical judgment and promoting transition into first clincal rotation

    This presentation will convey the integration of novel interactive classroom activities in first-semester students to promote critical thinking using the NCSBN clinical judgment model and bridge the gap from the classroom to the clinical setting. The activity creation and students’ qualitative results related to the activities will be reviewed.

    Antecedents of cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in pediatric population

    Cancer and its treatments result in various physical and psychosocial negative effects. Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a very common negative effect experienced by cancer patients. This secondary data analysis research study tested the relationship between various physiological, psychological, and situational variables and CRF in a pediatric population.

A team led by Sigma with funding support from J&J Foundation has created an evidence based global nursing leadership competency framework. Attend this session and learn about this innovative framework and ways to move health care forward.

    Virtual exchange in the classroom: Moving from pilot program to a global audience

    Innovative teaching strategies to promote student awareness of global health issues can be achieved with nursing students from other countries through virtual exchange. This presentation demonstrates the expansion of a pilot project between three schools to a platform where students represent global perspectives from six countries on four different continents.
