[Symposium leadership presentation] The evidence-based practice movement has been advancing in nursing over the past 15 years, building on the research utilization movement that began in the 1970s.  The focus is turning from how do conduct the process of EBP to how to sustain a culture of best practice. The Center for the Advancement of EBP at Arizona State University College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation has established a model to advance EBP in acute, primary and academic settings. This presentation will feature how two EBP models, the ARCC model (Advancing Research & Clinical Practice through Close Collaboration) and the Clinical Scholar Model, work in tandem to prepare healthcare professionals as change agents who are key to sustaining the daily use of evidence at the point of care. The Clinical Scholar model will be featured, in particular, in this presentation with the ARCC model to follow.
