[Special invitation presentation] The Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing located in Abilene, Texas was selected to partner with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas to provide mobile vacccine services for three counties within the designated geographic effort. Consistent with ongoing statewide initiatives and national immunization goals and objectives outlined in Healthy People 2010 the primary mission of the Patty Hanks Shelton/ Blue Cross Blue Shield Care Van Immunization Project is to provide accessible, free, comprehensive immunization services to children aged 2 months through 18 years of age. The overarching goal is to eliminate health disparities related to childhood immunizations in the designated West Central Texas area.
