[Clinical Session Presentation] Mobile devices have made life easier and allow us to acquire information instantaneous and to stay connected. No one thinks about how secure the information is as it is moving through the airwaves.  It is imperative that the mobile device users understand privacy and security as it pertains to healthcare information and how it applies to HIPAA. With security vulnerabilities rampant the end users must know how to protect themselves in this age of mobility.  This paper will discuss ways to secure information on mobile devices and identify security vulnerabilities as it pertains to healthcare information and HIPAA.
