[Symposium leadership presentation] Getting 12 Universities in four countries to work together on a project that is new to all of them, is a challenge. The challenge involves giving people and institutions enough information to be interested in getting involved, while not setting the project in stone before the participants can give their input. It also involves the logistics of having meetings in resource poor settings, where electronic media and transport is a challenge. It also involves obtaining funding for the project. Getting people involved and keeping them involved is also separate issues, as is the challenge of making it worthwhile for all who participate. This part of the symposium describes these processes in the Post Graduate Nursing Education Project.
