[Scientific session research presentation] This presentation addresses social climates that may lead to disparity in health care in elderly populations, and will include specific innovative examples that support self care. Included is a discussion of the ramifications of well-being within the climate of vulnerability, including disparity, with specificity to various populations, health care problems and settings.  Exemplars are used to illuminate implications of the phenomenon of well-being within the elderly who are at risk globally for compromised health care.
