This study measures satisfaction in psychiatric in-patients and its relationships with patient characteristics. Samples were selected from three inpatient psychiatric wards before discharged. Satisfaction was assessed by the Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire (PSQ) . Total were three hundred and thirty-five. The results found 86% of patients were satisfied. Higher satisfaction with psychiatric nurses than psychiatrists were found in this study. Females, jobless patients and those detained were more dissatisfied too. There was found 93.2% patients like to admit next time. There remain problems with satisfaction scales. Qualitative approaches to examine patients?experiences in hospital and the causes of dissatisfaction are recommended.
