[Evidence-based Practice Session - Symposium] This presentation will explore the fundamental factors identified within a consortium of rural, community and university settings that are essential to implement and sustain evidence-based practice at the point of care using intentionally designed technology. Each of the components of the Professional Practice Framework that guided the design of the technology used for the implementation of evidence-based practice will be reviewed and correlated to the strategies and decisions made within the practice/education partnership. The review of the components and strategies found to strengthen them within both the clinical and academic settings including clarity on the essence of evidence-based practice, assuring that the content integrated into technology is evidence-based and is maintained, differentiating between executable and referential content in the classroom and clinical areas will be discussed. The clinical and educational outcomes will be reviewed.
