[Evidence-based Practice Session - Paper or Poster Presentation] The purposes of this study were to discover the structure of the lived experience of moving forward using the Parse research method and to contribute to knowledge about human becoming. It enhances the understanding of the Taiwanese culture related to the lived experience of spinal cord injury. On the other hand, it provides an idea of client centered care. The overall aims are able to improve the quality of life to clients with spinal cord injury. This study conducted in a Rehabilitation Hospital and Spinal Injury Association in the middle of Taiwan. Participants were 15 clients with spinal cord injury. The Parse research method was used to answer the research questions, what is the structure of the lived experience of moving forward? The Parse research method illuminates the structure of lived experiences of health, such as moving forward, through the processes of dialogical engagement, extraction-synthesis and heuristic interpretation. The central finding of this study is the following structure: The lived experience of moving forward is a triumphing handicaps arising with transition thoughts amid open mind bind, while confirm self-worth emerge with the faith. The findings are discussed in relation to human becoming, related literature and future research.
