The purposes of this meta-analysis are to investigate factors related to job satisfaction of nurses. Subjects are 135 primary descriptive correlation studies, which used various concepts of job satisfaction. After identifying the factors that influence job satisfaction, this article will attempt to determine which are the most significant. Hunter's and Schmidt's (1990) guideline will be used as a study method. Effect size will be caculated by converted statistic of F, df. to r (correlation coefficient), then calculated overall r and calulated estimate significant p before interpretation. The reliability of the effect size will be tested by comparing estimated weighted r with estimated r. Heterogeneity will be tested to ensure that variables will be free form sampling error and measurement error. Results of this study are expected to completely report in May 2004.
