The purpose of the study was to the test of Pender's New Health Promotion Model in order to explain and predict female workers' health promotion behavior at the manufacture by using latent variable structural equation model. The data were collected from 280 female workers at 8 electronic factories located at Seoul, Kyunggi, and Incheon By using structured questionnaire through interview and self-report. LISREL was used to test the model. The results are as follows; 8 paths out of 15 paths of the modified one from the hypothetical model of Health Promotion were significant statistically and total variance of them came to 40%; relationship between previous health behavior and cognitive emotional factor, and interpersonal factor, and situational factor each, and relationship between perceived health status and interpersonal factor, and health promotion behavior each among gamma paths were unidirectional. On the beta paths, the relationship between interpersonal factor and cognitive emotional factor was bi-directional, relationship interpersonal factor and commitment to action, and health promotion behavior each were unidirectional. But commitment to action was not significant mediating factor to health promotion behavior. Pender's New Model is considered as good one to explain and predict female workers health promotion behavior and interpersonal factor should be considered to occupational nursing practice. But the concepts of situation and commitment to action should be validated furthermore.
