[22nd International Nursing Research Congress - Research Presentation] Purpose:  To improve the completion rate of nursing care after microreconstruction surgery.
Methods:
In clinical, nurses had insufficient knowledge of the assessment of flap, and the assessment of flap was also inconsistent .The doctor also said that nurses lack of awareness that abnormal changes in the flap, and  result treatment failure. The purposes of this project are to improve the completion rate of nursing care after microreconstruction surgery. We collected data from 2010 March 1 to May 31and founded that the completion rate of nursing care after microreconstruction surgery was low(57.5%), nurses had inadequate knowledge and lacked of awareness of care (46.2%), patient's satisfaction with care was low (4.1 points;82%)
, and lack of  job training of care, did not express postoperative evaluation and care standards.
Results:
Project formulation and implementation of improvement measures, the completion rate of care from 57.5% to 98.5%,  and the cognition degree of nurses about  microreconstruction surgery care was progresses from 56.5% to 96.2%. Female patient's knowledge of flap was increased from 56.5% to 91.3%. Patients' satisfaction  about nurse  care increased  from 4.1 points (82.0%) to 4.7 points (94.0%). Additional benefits is that reduce the average hospital stay 1.49 days and health care expenses $2,555,000 / person / bed / year, and improve  micro flap success rate was 96.6% after transplantation.
Conclusion:
Show production manual microscopic evaluation card flap transplantation, development of micro flap transplantation the standard of care, organized care programs, develop micro health education video capture card and have helped to improve the quality of care.
