[Research Paper or Poster Presentation] The purposes of this research were to study the quality of working life and to examine the relationships between Characteristics of Rotating Shift Work and quality of working life of professional nurses. The samples consisted of 250 professional nurses working in Police General Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand. Data were selected by using a questionnaire consisting of a demographic data, the Characteristics of Rotating Shift Work (CRSW), and the quality of working life (QWL). The CRSW questionnaire and the QWL were tested content validity and reliability with the Alpha of .92 and .92. Statistical methods used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation, Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient, and Chi-square correlation. The results of the study revealed that; 1. The overall quality of working life of professional nurses at Police General Hospital was at the moderate level 2. There was not significant difference of overall quality of working of working life of professional nurses who working in different shift work These findings provided as a guideline for improving of characteristics of the sequence of rotating shift in order to promoting the quality of working life of professional nurses.
