This presentation focuses on creating collaborative educational strategies between Jackson Health System and University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies for fostering a culture of evidence-based practice and research. The following strategies are addressed: Development of an on-site Research Certification Course-- University of Miami School of Nursing and Jackson Health System, Recruitment of Jackson Nurses as part-time Clinical Faculty with the University of Miami School of Nursing, and Appointment of a Hospital PhD Clinical Nurse Researcher from the Jackson Health System as Nursing Faculty at the University of Miami School of Nursing. Highlights of this presentation include: Overview of the development of the Research Certification Course, Overview of course description, Benefits and challenges of collaboration, Lessons learned, and Future collaborative ventures.
