[Research Presentation] Purpose: The purpose of the study was to compare satisfaction on the nursing students and practice unit staffs in a teaching hospital. Methods: A Comparative Survey Design was used in the study. This study was conducted at a teaching hospital between Jan. 1, 2008  to Nov. 30, 2008. The subjects group consisted of 134, which included 67 college nursing students and 67 practice unit staffs. Instruments used included demographic data, nursing student to practice unit satisfaction questionnaire, and nursing practice unit to student satisfaction questionnaire. The nursing student to practice unit satisfaction questionnaire contained three domains, which included practice unit operation, head nurse, and nurses. In addition, nursing practice unit to student satisfaction questionnaire also contained three domains that included learning objectives design, nursing student, and instructor. The two questionnaires scored between 0 and 4. The higher score of the scale indicated more satisfaction. SPSS for Windows 12.0 was used to analyze data. Results: The results showed that: 1) the majority of association in nursing students (five-year program) was 90.1%; 2) the mean of nursing student to practice unit satisfaction was 3.60. The highest score of head nurse and nurse were 3.64, respectively; 3) the mean of the nursing practice unit to student satisfaction was 3.23. The highest score of instructor was 3.33, followed by nursing student 3.23; and 4)the mean of nursing student to practice unit satisfaction and nursing practice unit to student satisfaction were positively correlation. Conclusion: Study results should be provided to nursing school and practice hospital as a reference when nursing students were in the practice. It is best way to interact and to enhance the learning and teaching with the school and practice hospital
