This project is the power point eighteen hour educational course; I developed in the fall of 2002, to meet the application criteria for a hospital applying for "Baby-Friendly" status. In September of 2001, Kaiser Permanente in Fresno made the decision to apply for "Baby-Friendly" status. The outline requirements for preparing to become "Baby-Friendly" is for designated instructors from each individual hospital to attend a week long "train the trainer" course presented by Healthy Children 2010. Upon completion of this course each individual facility is to develop its own individual staff educational course to meet "Baby-Friendly" USA's requirements. This course has also been adopted by Kaiser Permanente Northern California as the regional educational program for hospitals to utilize in their application process for becoming "Baby-Friendly".
