[Evidence-based Practice Session Presentation] The Delta Theta Chapter at The University of Texas at Arlington leads the collaboration with seven Chapters in Texas in the establishment and support of the India School of Nursing.  This nursing school "Rebekah Ann Naylor School of Nursing" (RANSON) began in 1996 with the admission of twenty girls from the lower socio-economic population. Twenty young women are admitted to the School of Nursing annually and in 2010, this will be expanded 30 admissions.  Since the first graduating class in 1999, each Chapter have annually contributed $100 to $250 every year to provide 2 new uniforms for each student graduate and funds for the graduation reception The Dallas Chapter of the Critical Care Nurses provide a stethoscope for the new graduate. The Chapters have placed an International Council Nurses Mobile Library at the Bangalore Baptist Hospital for the nursing staff, faculty and nursing students. In addition, provided a computer and printer for the nursing staff. The Chapters current initiative is to provide funds for the additional hostel for student housing. When completed this building will have a plaque to honor Sigma Theta Tau, the contributing chapters and will read:  The Honor Society of Nursing with contributing Chapters listed. Over $10,000 has been forwarded to begin the building. The Delta Theta Chapter in collaboration with the other chapters will assist the RANSON to write their 10th year Anniversary success story.  THE School of Nursing 10th  graduation  is February 28, 2009.  For the celebration, the Delta Theta Chapter has developed a Scientific Nursing Conference in Bangalore with the other Sigma Chapter participating.
