Factors affecting the perceptions of EIS include: + Computer inexperience + Physical barriers + Resistance to change + Mismatch between Practice and Technology + Mismanaged Implementation + Inappropriate training Discussion and examples will be given for each category listed above. Throughout the symposium, processes will be discussed as to how everything in an implementation can affect perceptions. This section will focus on the barriers often encountered as well as ideas for improving perceptions when implementing electronic information systems.
