[22nd International Nursing Research Congress - Research Presentation] Purpose: The number of suicides in Japan is very high among developed country. The purpose of this study is to identify related factors of suicide in children and adolescents and explore the nursing methods against each related factors to improve the situation.
Methods: From the four-database combining two keywords such as ?adolescent? and ?suicide? and four other words carried out for literature review. As a result of that 497 paper were extracted. 12 papers selected from the criteria on the basis of which the psychiatric nursing. Literature classified "personal characteristics", "psychosocial factors" and ?other risk factors? After reviewing them, considered about the nursing methods. 
Results: "Personal characteristics" were related to suicide experience, mental illness, substance-related disorders, anti-social behavior. "Psychosocial factors" were related to social isolation and family environment. In addition, "Other risk factors? is suggested to be important risk factors as the impact of the death of others. The child is at increased risk of suicide, was found to reflect the possibility that family pathology. Nursing interventions is early detection and treatment of mental illness, build trust with the surroundings, active intervention to families and social outreach, and methods to minimize the impact of suicide occurs around was found to be necessary.
Conclusion: Suicide in adolescents and children are complex case involving related factors. In the future, as well as children is imminent danger of suicide, suicide prevention must be universal education for children of low-risk of suicide.
