The purpose of this pilot study is to develop a base of information that will expand understanding of the needs and concerns of single, low-income African American and Caucasian mothers. This information will be used to refine an existing social support Internet-based intervention developed by the investigators for single, low-income African American and Caucasian mothers Three focus group discussions were conducted. Two groups were community leaders with appropriate expertise and one group was single, low income mothers. Qualitative methodology was implemented. Discussion data were taped, and transcripts were entered into a qualitative software program. Data analysis is presently in process. Themes will be identified, and specific feedback on the Single Mothers Website will be used to improve the focused support offered through the intervention. AN: MN030063
