This presentation will focus on funding opportunities for pre and postdoctoral students/fellows and faculty to support their career development as gerontological nurse researchers. Intramural and extramural sources of support from small seed grants to large federal initiatives will be discussed in terms of building a successful program of research. Both NIH and private foundation funding sources will be highlighted, with particular attention to resources targeting geriatric research and training.
