Author(s):
Lobosky, Jeffrey
Author Details:
Jeffrey Lobosky, MD, Associate Clinical Professor, University of California San Francisco, Chico, California, USA, email: jlobosky@aol.com
Abstract:
Abstract presented at AORN's 58th Annual Congress: The Doctor Won't See You Now exposes the system for what it isàa colossal failure that spends more than any country in the world but delivers far less. You will learn just how American medicine has devolved over the last fifty years and the list of parties complicit in this demise will surprise. The usual suspects, such as insurance carriers, pharmaceutical companies and malpractice attorneys are prominently exposed. But more importantly, our politicians, business icons, hospitals, my fellow physicians and American patients themselves will each be indicted for their role in this national disgrace.
