Abstract:
Abstract presented at AORN's 58th Annual Congress: The perioperative environment of the future is closer than anyone anticipated. In response to an increasingly competitive environment, cardiovascular programs must define an investment strategy and address various consumer, practitioner, and payer needs. Careful consideration of physician partnerships, service line management and offerings, growth strategies, and resource allocation is imperative. This program will define and discuss characteristics of tomorrow's preeminent cardiovascular institutes by exploring several areas: transcatheter heart valve technologies and interventions, physician-hospital alignments, care delivery systems, and future investment strategies for quality care and quality delivery systems. Ensuring successful cardiovascular program excellence across the next decade will require dramatic strategies for growth, which will be explored and discussed.
