Abstract:
Abstract presented at AORN's 58th Annual Congress: The San Francisco/Marin chapters of AORN and APIC have collaborated to develop support relative to infection prevention for local ASCs. This was proposed originally to support ASCs in response to CMS surveys which started in 2010, and to strengthen the collaboration between the specialized disciplines of infection prevention and perioperative services. This presentation will provide an overview of the San Francisco/Marin collaborative project objectives and progress to date including materials and services developed to support ASCs in preventing surgical site infection.
