Abstract:
Abstract presented at AORN's 58th Annual Congress: Since the Award for Excellence in Perioperative Nursing was established in 1981, it has been awarded 22 times. Each recipient created pathways that contributed to their being recognized for excellence. In this session, six Faces of Excellence, all past award recipients, will each describe a pathway they created in an area such as practice, publishing, education, public speaking, research, risk-taking, or mentoring. You will hear how personal and professional goal-setting can lead to excellence. You will recognize the many paths that lead to excellence and identify strategies that you can use to create your pathway.
