[NLN Education Summit Paper Presentation] A dialogue about professional development and compensation rewards for mid-level academic administrators, this presentation focuses on the experiences of a four-member, mid-level administrative team from a school of nursing within an academic health science university. Participants discuss potential pitfalls and rewards of mid-level administrative positions regardless of locale. Highlighting the rewards of the position may serve as a recruitment strategy for nursing faculty members considering such a transition.
