[NLN Education Summit Paper Presentation] Through an alliance of three Oklahoma public/private, urban/rural nursing schools, students can begin nursing careers at any of four entry points in high school or years later, climbing the educational ladder all the way to PhD if they wish. Because of the faculty shortage, students on higher rungs assist with the education of students at lower levels. Each school promotes movement up the ladder with academic, financial, and transitional support.
