[NLN Education Summit Paper Presentation] Because of recent advances in high-fidelity simulation, prospective evaluation with stringent criteria is feasible using tools like the LCJR. This study explored its usefulness as an evaluation tool for last semester senior nursing students in the simulation laboratory. The LCJR was adapted to add a numerical grading scale for performance scoring, variables rearranged in the domains, and a separate patient safety variable incorporated.

This paper addresses:

Competency 3: Use Assessment and Evaluation Strategies
Competency 5: Function as a Change Agent and Leader
