[NLN Education Summit Paper Presentation] A key component of student development is participation in our mentoring program. Students are assigned faculty mentors who work closely and individually with them throughout the program. The presence of a mentor mimics that of a concerned family member ready and willing to provide a helping hand and assist the student through the good and the bad. The mentoring plan is personal and tailored to meet the student's needs.
