[NLN Education Summit Symposium Presentation] Using the ACES Framework, this presentation demonstrates teaching strategies, use of unfolding case studies, and innovative clinical practice opportunities that have been piloted over the past year in a variety of pre-licensure schools nationally to enhance student expertise in geriatric care. Unfolding simulations provide an experiential activity for students to understand the reality of certain patient cases and have an opportunity to be immersed in the complex health care system, viewing firsthand what patients may actually experience across their illness trajectory.
