[NLN Education Summit Paper Presentation] This innovative initiative, through a partnership with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, utilizes educator and nurse volunteers to support student achievement of basic academic and clinical lab skills. The goal is to improve completion rates for nursing students, particularly focusing on students considered at educational risk. In addition this program supports diverse community members to meet the goals of nursing entrance tests.
