[NLN Education Summit Poster Presentation] Using CarperÆs Patterns of Knowing as a framework, undergraduate students in nursing receive faculty guidance to enhance development of professionalism, professional values, and a sense of becoming a nurse. The major components of this process include faculty-student mentoring, portfolio creation, written reflections on experiences and service for learning activities, and a capstone Senior Assignment Project. Reflective learning and role development are demonstrated outcomes.
