Podium Presentation: BRIEF DESCRIPTION/ABSTRACT: There is growing understanding of how inextricably intertwined nurse staffing is with patient safety, quality of care, fiscal performance, work environment, and nurse satisfaction. This session will speak to the meaning of excellence in staffing through a synthesis of the literature, existing initiatives, and the recommendations of nursing and healthcare leaders from the service, policy, and research sectors.
