Abstract:
Concurrent Podium Presentation: This presentation will describe the national Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) program sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to improve the nursing practice environment. Multiple studies have identified the need to improving the practice environment as a key strategy to achieving patient safety, quality and service targets and to retaining a satisfied nursing workforce. Three Magnet facilities participating in TCAB as part of the innovative community will describe their work and its link to the forces of Magnetism.
