Abstract:

Poster presented on: Thursday, July 25, 2013, Wednesday, July 24, 2013

Purpose:

The Bachelor of Nursing at the University Jaume I born within the European Higher Education Area, in the 2011-2012 academic year, once carried out various changes to the legislation of the Spanish universities. It is necessary to develop strategies to encourage and foment of student interest in research. Undergraduate studies methodologies involve student-centered learning, to ensure a progressive and independent learning, throughout life, allowing the acquisition of skills for the practice of the profession of nurse responsible for general care.

Methods:

They develop an integrative review of the models currently available of evidence-based practice. Be conducted by two independent reviewers, a literature search: Eric, Pubmed, Cinahl and Cochrane. In addition, establish a system of alerts. From the results obtained will highlight the models that have been implanted with undergraduate nursing students. Articles are classified by type of research studies and extract the most relevant information for each of the items found. Finally, there will be an interpretation of the results obtained by carrying out a critical assessment of the included studies highlighting the main models developed for search and integration in practice of EBP.

Results:

Among the outstanding results we obtain a total of 177 articles, of which 152 have been found in the PubMed database, ERIC 9, 3 Cinahl database and 13 results in Cochrane. In these articles, we can distinguish up to 23 different models of finding and implementing the best available evidence.

Conclusion:

Among the models found, The Iowa Model looks for a strong structure, with a decision algorithm set and featured critical points to be applied as to inculcate the practice based on evidence and search from the undergraduate nursing students.
