Abstract:

Poster presented on: Tuesday, November 19, 2013, Monday, November 18, 2013

This session will take you through the easy steps to nursing publication. The presenter has published three nursing books, two with Springer Publishing and one with Mosby/Elsevier Publishing. She also wrote a peer-reviewed article for Pediatric Nursing Journal which is being used for contact hours. Nurses are passionate about what they do. Nurses should be writing about their passion, nursing. During this presentation, you will find enlightening ways to publish, the ABC's. The topics will include: deciding on a venue, deciding on a co-author, deciding on a topic, and deciding on a peer-reviewed journal. Once you have published an article, the next step is publishing a chapter in a peer-reviewed book, and finally, if you are ambitious, preparing a book manuscript. I know that you will come out of this session with enthusiasm and the tools to begin writing and being published. Nurses should tell the world how passionate we are about what we do. Soon you will be writing about your expertise in nursing.
