Abstract:
Special Session presented on: Monday, November 18, 2013: Lifelong professional development consists of planned learning experiences designed to augment ones knowledge, skills or attitudes. In today's world of high and low tech education, opportunities for augmenting a nurses knowledge and attitude vary. We will discuss the process to provide continuing nursing education (CNE) through international accrediting bodies. We will also compare the pros and cons of some of today's current CNE opportunities in an attempt to define what type of education is best working for the bedside nurse.
