Abstract:
Using a nursing theory as a guiding framework the family nurse practitioner presents a case study of a transgender client. Core competencies of Advance Nurse Practitioners as well as best evidence practice guidelines that support hormonal therapy initiation and continuation in the transgender client are presented.
