Research interests:

Dr. Palmieri is the leading health system and evidence-based practice expert in Peru. He is an accomplished leader driven by persons and communities, creating vision, building good-will, and developing capabilities of many – in particular nurses. Serving across multiple systems levels, he has raised the will for change by re-shaping the capability of the Peruvian health sector and health sciences education. Notably, Dr. Palmieri organized and implemented a national patient safety and quality improvement project that resulted in the first three international hospital and ambulatory health care organization accreditations in Peruvian history. And, he developed and directed the first funded clinical practice fellowships for nurses in South America.
